Pandemic restrictions ease as county moves into orange tier

The State of California on Tuesday moved Placer County into the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy ‘orange’ tier - further easing restrictions in the county. Sectors that can open indoors with modifications include wineries, cardrooms and family entertainment centers – while other sectors such as restaurants, gyms and places of worship can increase their indoor capacity. Placer launches COVID-19 infection rate study

Placer County this week launched a new study aimed at better understanding the true COVID-19 infection rate among county residents. We commissioned the study by Stanford University School of Medicine to help inform future decisions that best protect the physical, social and economic wellbeing of our communities. Learn more


Power restoration planned for tomorrow

PG & E

A public safety power shutoff is currently in effect for Placer communities east and west along the I-80 corridor including, Alta, Blue Canyon, Yuba Gap, Cisco Grove and Emigrant Gap. PG&E anticipates power will be restored to most customers affected by the PSPS event by 10 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 16), weather and safety permitting. Hidden Falls Park closed through Friday

Out of an abundance of caution, Hidden Falls Regional Park in North Auburn will be closed Oct. 14-16 due to extreme fire weather conditions. Visitors with reservations during closure days will be given credit for the purchase price of their reservation. Learn more

The colonnade of Placer County's historic courthouse in Auburn is now beaming bright with pink lights to bring awareness to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pink lights will remain lit through the end of October. Watch video

Check out Placer County's employment website for a list of open positions, including internships. Job seekers can apply for positions and sign up for job alerts to be notified of openings. Those without internet access can use a computer kiosk in the Human Resources Department's lobby, at 145 Fulweiler Ave., in Auburn.

The Fiddyment Farm Neighborhood Association is NOT an HOA and there are no fees or dues. We are here to:
•    To provide an open forum through which all members of the neighborhoods can participate in the identity, social culture, growth, development, and activities of the neighborhoods.
•    To identify and communicate the issues and concerns of the Association members to the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations, the City of Roseville, and other appropriate entities.
•    To keep all members of the neighborhoods informed regarding issues vital, or of interest, to the well-being of the neighborhoods.
•    To encourage and facilitate communication and cohesiveness among all the people of the neighborhoods. To act in cooperation with government and non-government agencies to preserve and improve peace, safety and property values in the neighborhoods.
