Free oil filter exchange every weekend in May

Every weekend in May, Roseville residents can bring in their used oil filter to participating AutoZone locations and receive a new FREE oil filter while supplies last. Funded in part by CalRecycle, this program makes it easy to recycle properly and keep used oil filters out of the landfill.

Get ready for Mulch Mayhem

Looking to save water and keep your garden thriving this summer? Mulch Mayhem is back! Roseville water customers can pick up free mulch on Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to noon at 9100 Foothills Blvd.

Mulch is a simple yet powerful tool for water conservation. Adding just 2-3 inches around trees and plants can save up to 30 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet while reducing evaporation, controlling weeds, and improving soil health.

Cash-for-Grass program sparks yard transformations

Roseville homeowners are rethinking what their yards can be, swapping out traditional grass for colorful, water-efficient landscapes that save water, cut down on upkeep, and boost curb appeal. And with the City’s Cash-for-Grass rebate program offering up to $2,000, making the switch has never been more appealing.

As warmer weather returns and irrigation systems begin running again, many residents start watering on a routine schedule. But your landscape may not always need it.

Atlantic/Vernon Street Traffic Improvements Project update

Median work will temporarily close the southbound lane on Vernon Street between the Atlantic and Vernon Street intersection and Lincoln Street starting this week. This closure will last approximately three to four weeks.

Please travel with care through the work area. Allow extra travel time.

Resurfacing work set for Junction Boulevard and Fairway Drive

Following preparation work, road resurfacing is scheduled for the following areas starting mid-April:

• Fairway Drive between Stanford Ranch Road and Blue Oaks Boulevard

• Junction Boulevard between Foothills and Washington Boulevard

This work protects streets and reduces the need for costly street repairs in the future.

The work schedule is subject to change due to equipment, materials, weather, and other unexpected conditions.

Please allow extra travel time and travel with care through the work area.

Roseville welcomes back the Big Boy No. 4014

The world’s largest steam locomotive, Big Boy No. 4014, is rolling back into Roseville on April 10-11 as part of Union Pacific’s first-ever "coast-to-coast" steam tour.

The train will be on viewing display from 1-5 p.m., on Friday, April 10, and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., on Saturday, April 11.

Beyond the tracks, join the community at the Vernon Street Town Square for a Maker’s Market and live music.

From Interstate 80, use the Riverside Avenue or Douglas Boulevard exits for access to Downtown Roseville.

Spring clean-up days are scheduled on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

Proposed Phillip Road Site: Draft Environmental Impact Report public review period extended

The public review period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed Phillip Road Site project has been extended by 45 days, with a new deadline of Thursday, April 30. The review period began on Tuesday, February 3.

Proposed Phillip Road Site: Draft Environmental Impact Report public review period extended

The public review period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed Phillip Road Site project has been extended by 45 days, with a new deadline of Thursday, April 30. The review period began on Tuesday, February 3.

Stopping sneaky leaks in their tracks

Finding a leak in Roseville’s water system is not always as simple as spotting water on the ground. With more than 725 miles of water mains and over 55,000 service connections, some leaks are easy to see, while others stay hidden underground.

Since 2022, Roseville’s proactive leak detection program has identified 119 leaks and tracked more than 12.3 million gallons in potential water savings.

Phillip Road Site update: Draft Environmental Impact Report and public hearing

The Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) for the proposed Phillip Road Site Project is available for a 45-day public review and comment period through Monday, March 23.
