Blue Oaks widening and resurfacing project begins April 14

Blue Oaks Boulevard from Crocker Ranch Road to Foothills Boulevard will be widened from two lanes in each direction, to three. Construction is scheduled mid-April through September 2014, between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Widening work will take place in the median.

Road resurfacing will also occur on Blue Oaks Boulevard between Crocker Ranch Road and Highway 65. The portion of road between Foothills Boulevard and Highway 65 is not being widened as part of this project.

Impacts on traffic are expected to be minimal, but may include intermittent lane closures. Every effort will be made to minimize effects on traffic.

This project is funded through Traffic Mitigation Funds and state grants. Call Public Works at 746-1300 with questions about the project.

Adjacent Retail Development Project

A developer is constructing a new shopping center on the vacant parcel to the north east of the Blue Oaks and Woodcreek Oaks intersection. Construction should begin in early April and be completed in October of 2014. This work will coincide with the City of Roseville's Blue Oaks Widening Project. However, it is a separate private project being constructed by a private party.

The project will include the addition of an auxiliary right turn lane along the frontage of the parcel, as well as a new traffic signal at the eastern end of the parcel between Woodcreek Oaks and New Meadow. New traffic signal timings have been created along the road corridor to account for the new traffic signal, so drivers should not experience any additional delay.

For questions regarding this development project, please contact Development Services – Engineering at 774-5339.
