Do Your Research with Solicitors

A West Roseville resident reported this week that a salesperson came to his door selling energy efficiency audits or offering to compete with PG&E for natural gas service.

The City of Roseville is not associated with either solicitation. The City of Roseville has no other information about the solicitations and does not endorse any such offers. However, the City advises its residents and Roseville Electric customers to be cautious and take time to research any such offers.

Additionally, every person soliciting orders for or selling goods, merchandise or services door to door is required to register with the Police Department and present a validated registration application and photo identification upon request. Residents are encouraged to call the Roseville Police Department at 774.5000 ext. 1 with any concerns about unregistered solicitors or other suspicious behavior.
