The Roseville Police Department has scheduled the next citizens’ academy. Due to the ongoing health pandemic, it won’t be an in-person format as it has been in the past; instead, we will be offering a free, “virtual” academy for residents of Roseville.
In this unusual time, everyone is being asked to innovate and adapt. This academy will not be an exact replica of what we offer in-person. However, with the technologies now available, we will be able to bring you an academy that you can participate in from the comfort of your own home.
This new virtual academy will provide community members with a behind-the-scenes look at police operations. Participants will be introduced to the concepts of community-oriented policing and problem solving and will meet representatives from many units within the department.
The academy is scheduled to run over three nights 6 pm - 8 pm:
- Monday, October 12, 6 pm - 8 pm
- Tuesday, October 13, 6 pm - 8 pm
- Wednesday, October 14, 6 pm - 8 pm
The tentative schedule is as followed but is subject to change:
SESSION ONE – Monday, October 12
- Welcome from Police Chief Maccoun
- Patrol Operations
- Social Services
SESSION TWO – Tuesday, October 13
- Support Services Division
- Training and Force Science

SESSION THREE – Wednesday, October 14
