The State Bar of California has produced 3 excellent pamphlets explaining (in plain English) the laws you and your family should be aware of as you progress from kids, to 18 year olds, to seniors.
Kids and the Law addresses a number of issues important to parents of minor children, including:
- curfews
- emancipation
- drugs and alcohol
- dress codes
- children's privacy
- truancy
- juvenile court
- crime (graffiti, weapons, fighting, etc.)
- driving
