SPA3 Proposed Density Changes to the WRSP Plan

Public Meeting

April 10th - 7 PM - Chilton Middle School - Multi-Purpose Room

Signature Properties and City of Roseville Planning Department will give a brief overview of the project and answer questions.

In November 2009 Signature Properties submitted an application to amend the West Roseville Specific Plan (WRSP) to add 1,905 residential units and 6.2 acres of commercial land within the Fiddyment Ranch portion of the WRSP.

In December 2011, the applicant provided a written request to staff to discontinue processing the application due to financial issues associated with the ownership/partnership for the property/project. The application was ultimately withdrawn in October 2012.

The new property ownership group, ATC Realty One, LLC, is now ready to resubmit an application to complete the Specific Plan Amendment, with one modification. The quantity of additional residential units requested will be reduced by 245 units from 1,905 to 1,660. With the exception of this modification, the new project description, acreages, and entitlements will be identical to the project submitted in 2009.

The funding for the SPA3 SEIR (Subsequent Environmental Impact Report) work was approved by the Roseville City Council on January 16th, 2013.

We strongly urge anyone with concerns over this project to attend this meeting and ask your questions.

Please help our quest to build our local school libraries

Those of you who have been to our school libraries have seen the mostly empty bookshelves. Used book sales at the city libraries can provide children's books in library quality (hard backed and in good condition) for 25 cents each. Assistants are usually on-site to point you to the school age section where you can find thousands of books to select from. You may deliver your donated books to the Chilton Middle School librarian who has offered to go through the books and see that they get to the appropriate school--Junction or our new Fiddyment school for elementary level books, or kept for Chilton for middle school level books.

A special sale is currently available at the Martha Riley Library at Mahany--2 books for 25 cents until the end of March. The next regular book sale will be at the Downtown Library April 19 and 20.
