To continue construction of the Roseville Parkway Extension Project, portions of Industrial Avenue will be temporarily closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. during the week of June 3.

UP's famed 'Big Boy No. 4014' visiting Roseville July 12-13

Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest steam locomotive, will return to the rails this summer with a scenic tour across four western states: Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and California. The monthlong “Big Boy Westward Bound” tour, which starts June 30, will honor Union Pacific’s rich railroad legacy and celebrate the railroad’s employees and communities it serves. 

Big Boy No. 4014 will be on display in Roseville July 12-13. More details about its time in Roseville will be available soon.

Get in gear for safe cycling at BikeFest

Bring your bike and gear up for the 31^st annual family bike safety event on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to noon. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just learning to ride, there's something for everyone. Explore obstacle courses, get fitted for helmets and enjoy free safety checks by local bike shops. 

Roseville Fire Kids Camp

Kids ages 11-14 (as of June 9, 2024) are invited to register now for Roseville Fire Kids Camp. Campers learn water safety, CPR and first aid, rescue practices, firefighting and more.

UEC Reimagined: Visit the reopening April 6

Join us Saturday, April 6 at 10:15 a.m. as we celebrate a significant milestone—the UEC Reimagined. After two years of planning and construction, the Utility Exploration Center (UEC) that opened in the early 2000s has undergone a complete re-haul.

The festivities will include opening remarks from elected officials and staff, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, refreshments – and your chance to explore the wonders of the revamped museum. 

Mulch Mayhem strikes back this May 4

In a Roseville Galaxy, far, far away, gear up for the return of Mulch Mayhem, striking on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to noon at 9000 Foothills Blvd.

Tickets are selling quickly for Comedy Night featuring the one and only Chinedu Unaka on April 12 at the Roseville Theatre. Back by popular demand, Yomen - A Celebration of Spring - welcomes spring at the Maidu Museum & Historic Site on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate Maidu and Native Californian culture and tradition with activities for the whole family. Plus enjoy Maidu dancers, basket weavers, artisans and crafters along with delicious food. This event is free.

Work on the long-planned Pleasant Grove Boulevard Widening Project is in progress between Woodcreek Oaks and Foothills Boulevard. Ultimately, there will be three travel lanes in each direction to improve traffic flow.

Decades ago, the roadway was built with extra space in the median to accommodate eventual widening. Additional landscaping will be added as part of the improvements.

Travel with care and keep an eye on digital message boards for current construction information.

Construction of Roseville Transit’s electric bus charging station is underway. The project includes two new electric on-route bus chargers at the Galleria, a key transfer point for Roseville Transit, and Placer County Transit services.

This station will allow future electric Roseville Transit buses to provide continued service throughout the day. Stay alert and travel with care in the work zone.

Our FAB Club is expanding West!

Residents aged 50 and better in Roseville now have two locations to enjoy FAB-ulous activities. The FAB club is now extending its programs to the Mahany Fitness Center as well as the Maidu Community Center.

With this expansion comes activities like Bingo, Bunco, American/Chinese Mahjong, Cribbage, Stitch & Chat and Mexican Train Dominoes. Members can also look forward to fun day trips organized by the club. The second location provides more opportunities for building new connections and friendships.

Finding and fixing leaks in our water system is a big task because Roseville's service area has over 600 miles of water mains and more than 50,000 service connections.

Sometimes, it's easy to spot non-emergency leaks, but other times, our water distribution team must investigate further.

To expand in-person voting opportunities for eligible voters, the Placer County Elections Office has recently adopted the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) election model.

Starting with the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election, Placer County voters are no longer assigned to a specific voting location; they can now visit any one of 29 regional vote centers located in the county.

Two spring break specialty camps inspire dreams of magical quests in far-off lands or help to unleash your inner artist. Join us for our Twisted Fairytale Adventures with crafting, cooking and explosive science experiments or Adventures in Art with cooking, crafts, music and building challenges coming up on March 25-29!

Eco-friendly weed management

To keep your garden looking neat, use eco-friendly methods to tackle weeds. Weeds can pop up in yards and gardens, making them appear messy. These opportunistic plants thrive in areas with little competition, like bare lawn spots or landscapes without enough plants or mulch.

Manufacturing innovation is driving economic growth

Over the last year, Roseville’s manufacturing industry grew by 17.9% to approximately 2,900 jobs.

Adaptive and inclusive programs

Sports, storytime, holiday events, crafts, swimming and more! Did you know there are special adaptive programs and events available for tots and teens? The focus is on providing individuals with cognitive, physical or developmental challenges with a calm environment to learn and play. There are a variety of dates and times available so check it out!

Spring cleaning events happening in April and May

Streamline your spring cleaning by participating in a complimentary spring clean-up organized by the City and the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (RCONA). 

Seize the chance to declutter your space, reclaim your garage, and dispose of unwanted items at no cost! These four organized events are strategically planned to include locations within or near your neighborhood association.

Free library financial workshop series 

From savings to Social Security, join us at the Martha Riley Library from 5 - 6 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month for our free eight-part Financial Literacy Workshop Series (which runs until May 14). This month’s sessions:

February 13 - Increase Cash Flow & Manage Debt
February 27 - Preparing with Proper Protection

No registration needed—just show up and level up your money game! Ages 16 & up welcome.

Upcoming construction of Pleasant Grove Boulevard Widening

Construction of the long-planned Pleasant Grove Boulevard Widening Project is anticipated to begin in the coming weeks.

The project will widen approximately 1.45 miles of roadway into the median, from Woodcreek Oaks to just east of the Foothills Boulevard intersection. Ultimately there will be three travel lanes in each direction to improve traffic flow.

Getting to Kings games is a slam dunk

Make Roseville Transit part of your game plan. Join fellow Kings fans on non-stop Game Day Express service from Roseville to the Golden 1 Center.
