What: Ground-based adult mosquito treatment
Where: West Park and Sun City Roseville
When: July 5, 2023 between 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Why: West Nile virus positive mosquitoes and dead bird

West Park and Sun City Roseville is scheduled for ground-based adulticide treatments due to a West Nile virus positive dead bird, West Nile virus positive mosquitoes, and continued high abundance of mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus.

An EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in an ultra-low volume fog by truck to target adult mosquitoes.

Since several factors, including weather conditions, affect treatment activities, the District encourages Placer residents to check the District website for any changes to the treatment schedule and accompanying maps of the planned treatment areas.
