Free COVID testing
The OptumServe COVID-19 testing site in Roseville has increased their operation to 12 hours a day to meet growing demand. The testing site is located at the Maidu Activity Center, 1960 Johnson Ranch Drive.
Make an appointment for free PCR testing at lhi.care/covidtesting, or find other testing options at placer.ca.gov/coronavirus/testing.

Protect your data at the ATM and gas pump
Recently there's been an increase in reported incidents of skimming devices in Roseville. Skimming occurs when devices illegally installed on ATMs, point of sale terminals, or fuel pumps capture data or record cardholders’ PINs.
Criminals use the data to create fake debit or credit cards and then steal from victims’ accounts. It's estimated that skimming costs financial institutions and consumers more than $1 billion each year.

Officer Ann Marie Howland of the Roseville Police Department is working with local middle schools to educate youth, parents and teachers on the dangers of youth vaping.
As a School Resource Officer, she conducts classroom presentations, decoy operations, smoke shop inspections and Brief Intervention counseling for kids caught vaping on campus.

Roseville Transit takes first step toward all-electric fleet
Roseville Transit is transitioning to a zero-emission fleet with the purchase of five all-electric buses. The 40-foot vehicles are expected to debut during summer 2022.
These new buses will help operate the Commuter service which runs 10 weekday express routes between Roseville and downtown Sacramento.

Keep an eye on digital message boards for current work dates and times in each area. Schedules are subject to change due to weather, equipment and other unforeseen conditions.

You’ll first see preparation work and pavement removal. Then there may be a few weeks before new layer of asphalt is added.

Sun City
A portion of Sun City will be resurfaced beginning early September. You’ll also see preparatory curb ramp updates which are required by law in advance of road work. The entire Sun City neighborhood is undergoing phased resurfacing through 2024.

Construction on Phase 1 of the Washington Boulevard/Andora Widening Project continues.
Crews will be performing nighttime work from 8 p.m. on Friday, August 27 through 4 a.m. on Saturday, August 28.
Between Diamond Oaks Road and Sawtell Road, temporary concrete barriers will be placed along the roadway to separate traffic from construction work.
Due to high daytime traffic volumes, this work is scheduled to minimize traffic backups. The road will remain open to vehicles, but a flagger will be directing traffic in alternating directions. Also, traffic signals will be flashing red at the intersections of Diamond Oaks/Washington and Sawtell/Washington.
