California recently approved new emergency water conservation measures to stretch and manage water supplies during continued drought conditions.
Although California received record rainfall and snowfall to close 2021, we still only have 58% of the precipitation needed for the year. Also, not all reservoirs have rebounded and are still lower than needed as we approach the summer months.
As a result, these mandates are effective mid-January for one year unless extended by the State.

Due to a recent change in income requirements, even more residents are eligible for electric bill assistance.
With the Electric Rate Assistance Program, qualified residents can receive a 15% monthly discount on their electric bill. In 2021, income requirements were adjusted to better serve the community, providing potential savings for additional Roseville residents.

There is no way around it -- our gardens are impacted by extreme and fluctuating weather conditions. However, they can be resilient. In this eight-week class series (Feb 8 – Mar 29), you will learn how to strengthen your garden's ability to combat climate-change while maintaining that curb appeal.
Classes will be taught by practicing landscape professionals and educators who utilize environmentally-friendly practices so your trees and plants can thrive and your landscape can stay beautiful, all while easily maintaining it. You’ll learn how to apply these practices to large or small landscapes and be equipped with the know-how to manage your project, whether you’re starting a new garden or making changes to your existing one.
