Celebrate the 4th of July

Get ready for a festive 4th of July! Whether you’re kicking off the morning with the fun run and parade or ending the night with fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s what’s happening:

• Run Crime Out of Roseville 5K | 7:15 am – Downtown Roseville
• Parade | 9 a.m. - Start the day at the downtown Roseville parade.
• Royer Park Activities | After the Parade - Head to Royer Park for live music, food vendors, games and kids’ activities.
• Fireworks Show | 9:15 p.m. - End the night with a spectacular fireworks show @the Grounds.

Parade parking & road closures - Please plan ahead—some downtown roads will close early for the parade, and parking may be limited. Arrive early and use available public parking lots.

Penalties for illegal fireworks

Illegal fireworks carry many risks, including injury, property damage, safety of first responders, costs of responding to emergencies, environmental harm and legal consequences.

In May 2024, the Roseville City Council amended the municipal code, making penalties for those who use illegal fireworks much more severe.

Penalties for illegal fireworks include stiffer fines, more severe legal consequences, liability for the cost of emergency response and additional responsibility of property owners who knowingly allow the use or storage of illegal fireworks on their property, or the street or sidewalk adjacent to their property.

Downtown Library extends summer hours

From July 1 through September 1, the Downtown Roseville Library will have extended hours, giving you more time to cool off and enjoy the air conditioning and free bottled water. With more evening and weekend hours, it’s easier than ever to stop by and check out books, attend programs, or use library resources.

Your vision, our trucks: 2025 Youth Art Contest

The 2025 Roseville Utilities Youth Art Contest is officially rolling, and we want to see your take on the mighty utility trucks that help keep Roseville clean, safe, and running smoothly.

This year’s theme is “Roseville utility trucks in action,” and we’re inviting artists 17 and under to show off their creativity. Whether it’s trash collection, water line repairs, or restoring power, these trucks play a big role in our everyday lives, and now it’s their time to shine. Entries are open now through August 6.

Help name Roseville's newest parks

We’re inviting the community to suggest names for four upcoming neighborhood parks. Each park is uniquely designed with features like play areas, shaded picnic spaces, trails, turfgrass and more.

• CO-61 (Campus Oaks): 6 acres at Ashbrook St. & Knightsbridge Ln.
• JM-51 (Sierra Vista): 2.6 acres at Shimmer Falls Dr. & Lakehaven Dr.
• JM-52 (Sierra Vista): 1.5 acres at Misty Ridge Dr. & Bright Star Rd.
• FD-50 (Sierra Vista): 1.7 acres at Starfield Dr. & Nova Pl.

Roseville Transit launches Commuter schedule improvements July 21

Roseville Transit’s second phase of Commuter improvements will go into effect July 21 following the Transportation 360 master plan adoption in February and a recently completed rider survey. This includes schedule modifications and four new routes.

Utility work to close trail between Royer and Saugstad Parks

The trail connecting Royer Park and Saugstad Park will be closed for several weeks starting in late June due to Roseville Environmental Utilities work.

Trail users can exit ahead of the closure by using the pedestrian bridge connecting to Taylor Street to continue southbound. To continue northbound, exit at the Saugstad park-and-ride lot.

Power Flex Energy-Saving Program

Roseville Electric Utility is excited to introduce Power Flex, our new energy-saving program. Customers who elect to participate in Power Flex can save money and help support electric grid resiliency. Participants help reduce electricity demand during peak times, often without even noticing.

Here’s how it works:

• Enroll your eligible smart thermostat
• During high-demand periods Roseville Electric may make small, temporary adjustments to temperature settings
• $25 bill credit just for signing up; and another $25 each year you stay enrolled

Spots are limited and this program is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss your chance to make a difference and save some money!

For services tied to water, wastewater, and trash and recycling, we’re investing in upgrades to stay resilient, meet stricter environmental standards, and prepare for the future. We work hard to keep costs low and service reliable, but when rate adjustments happen, we ensure we can continue doing the job right while balancing affordability.

Your water: safe, clean, and still meeting the mark

The results are in! Roseville’s latest water quality report shows that our water continues to meet or exceed all state and federal standards for safety and quality.

Every year, we test according to federal and state regulations to ensure that the water coming out of your tap is clean and reliable. We’re proud to say that the 2024 data confirms we're not just compliant, but also consistent.

Roseville Rising: Calling all culinary entrepreneurs Are you a culinary entrepreneur? Get ready for the next cohort of Roseville Rising at the Roseville Venture Lab. Apply to participate and gain essential business skills to help grow your food venture locally. The program runs July 15 – September 23. Submit your application by Monday, July 7.

Roseville seeking proposals for the purchase and development of downtown site

The City of Roseville is seeking proposals for the purchase and development of 1.17 acres of City-owned property at 505 Royer St.

Centrally located in Roseville’s downtown, the site is situated near a library, multi-use trail along Dry Creek, Royer Park, Vernon Street Town Square, downtown shops and restaurants, and has easy access to popular transportation corridors and public transit.

Zoning allows for mixed‐use, retail, restaurant, public or quasi‐public, office, multifamily residential, live/workspace, public market, or other concepts that add to downtown’s energy.
