The story everyone in our community needs to hear
An epidemic of fentanyl poisonings has taken at least 74 lives in Placer County in just the past few years, including Rocklin’s Zach Didier - a straight-A student, star athlete, musician and actor.
In Placer County’s new "One Pill Can Kill" podcast, they take a deeper look at the fentanyl crisis and its impacts on our community, what you can do to keep your family safe, and how Placer County health, law enforcement and education agencies, and other partners are working to address it.
City makes $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds available for community benefit
Roseville received $17 million in one-time funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 to assist with City and community needs. The Roseville City Council allocated $1 million of these funds to the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission for distribution to the Roseville community.

The first round of applications are currently open. Applications are due to the City by

Local non-profits receive more than $275,000 in grants funds from City
At its July 12 meeting, the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission presented 21 local non-profits $279,681 in competitive grant funding from the City’s Citizens’ Benefit Fund and Roseville Employees Annual Charitable Hearts (REACH) Fund.
The Citizens’ Benefit Fund was established in 1993 following the sale of the city-owned Roseville Hospital. The proceeds were placed in a trust and a portion of the interest earned each year is made available for grants with the purpose of improving the quality of life for the residents of Roseville.
Since 1994, more than $16.5 million have been awarded to local non-profits from the trust.

A roadmap to Roseville’s energy future
Reliable and cost-effective electricity is at the heart of everything we do at Roseville Electric Utility. A key component of maintaining reliable service and affordable electricity is our long-term planning.
Every five years, Roseville Electric develops an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The IRP is comprised of an assessment of the future electric needs and a plan to meet those future needs. We invite you to be a part of the conversation by completing our survey.
July is Smart Irrigation Month
Get smart about watering your landscape by letting a WaterSense-labeled weather-based irrigation controller take over the watering for you.
They act like a thermostat for your sprinklers, using local weather and landscape conditions to tailor watering schedules to your landscape's needs.
Installing a “smart” controller can save you thousands of gallons of water a year.
