Conservation is something we can all take part in to make a difference. When electricity demand is highest (between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.), there are simple steps you can take to save energy:

Set air conditioning thermostat to 78 degrees, if health permits.

Do not use major appliances (e.g. oven, dishwasher, clothes dryer).

Turn off unnecessary lights in your home.

Unplug unused electrical devices and power strips.

Close blinds and drapes to keep the heat from the sun out.

Use fans when possible.

The City Clerk's office is currently accepting park naming suggestions for seven new parks. For names to be considered, they must be submitted through the formal process.
The deadline to submit is 3 p.m. Friday, August 6.

Calling all young artists and visionaries! Roseville Utilities Youth Art Contest began last week, so break out the paint, chalk, pens, pencils, crayons, or whatever you choose! Using the theme “Where Utilities Meet Life,” go wild and don’t hold back while you show us those artistic skills!

Resurfacing work is in progress on the following streets.

Vernon Street between Douglas Boulevard and Cirby Way: weekdays, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Eureka Road between Douglas and Sierra College Boulevard: weekdays, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
You’ll first see preparation work and pavement removal. Then there will be a few weeks before new layer of asphalt is added.
Please be alert and travel with care in work zones.
The schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unexpected conditions.

The first phase of Washington Boulevard/Andora Widening Project construction is in progress and will continue through early 2022.
To protect worker safety during periods of excessive heat, construction activity may begin as early as 6 a.m.
