The California Department of Public Health announced that beginning today, masks will not be required but are strongly recommended for unvaccinated people in most indoor settings.
Masks are still required for everyone in these public settings: public transit, health care settings, emergency shelters, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and long-term care facilities.
After March 11, masks will no longer be required in schools and childcare facilities, regardless of vaccination status.

With the warmer weather it is tempting to increase your outdoor watering. But our plants and grass don’t require as much water now as they do during the much hotter summer months. And with the shortage of winter rains, we still need to conserve water.
From March 1 – April 30, Roseville residents may irrigate their landscapes on Mondays and Fridays, after 8 p.m. and before 10 a.m.
Non-residential properties may irrigate on Mondays and Thursdays during the same hours, respectively. Drip irrigation systems are exempt from these restrictions.

The Roseville Independent Redistricting Commission approved the final City Council district map at its public meeting February 28. The map will define the City Council district boundaries for the next 10 years.
The Independent Redistricting Commission was empowered by Roseville voters to adopt the district boundaries without City Council approval. The City Council cannot amend or change the map.
At the annual City Council Priorities Workshop last week, all five City Councilmembers reaffirmed the approach that although they are elected by district, each is committed to serving all of Roseville.

Roseville and Placer County perform yearly homeless count
The City of Roseville Homeless Response Team, which includes Roseville Police Social Services Unit and the Roseville Housing Division, was among a collaborative group of agencies and nonprofit organizations from Placer County conducting an annual point-in-time count of the homeless February 24.
The point-in-time count is done to gather information about our local homeless population, assess local needs for services, and to track progress of housing and other supportive programs. The results of the survey are expected to be available this summer.

Volunteers needed for creek clean-up events
Roseville sits within three watersheds that are home to a network of creeks that flow through our community. These creeks require maintenance to bring them back to their natural luster and maintain them as a community asset.
We need your help! Come roll up your sleeves and join us at a community Adopt-A-Creek cleanup event. Your hands-on participation helps keep these remarkable natural spaces safe and clean for recreation and other beneficial uses.
