
Roseville ready to welcome back the Big Boy No. 4014The world’s largest steam locomotive, Big Boy No. 4014, is rolling back into Roseville on April 10-11 as part of Union Pacific’s first-ever "coast-to-coast" steam tour. Route details and specific viewing times will be shared as the tour approaches. Beyond the tracks, join the community at the Vernon Street Town Square for a Maker’s Market and live music. 
Splash into an egg-citing hunt this seasonJump into the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool on Sunday, March 29 for Floating Egg-Stravaganza! Kids will swim, splash, and collect eggs in a pool filled with more than 8,000 floating treasures. A prize will be given to lucky kids who find the hidden ducks! Enjoy bounce houses, games, crafts, and a chance to take photos with the bunny. We’re also offering a sensory-friendly session. 
Campfire & Rock Art MysteriesOur Campfire series continues on Saturday, March 21, and Saturday, April 18, at the Maidu Museum & Historic Site. Campfires, Indigenous stories, and marshmallow roasting begin at 7:30 p.m. Right after, grab your flashlight for a guided Rock Art Mysteries tour to see ancient petroglyphs under the stars. Attend one or both for a magical spring evening! 
Apply now for Fire Kids CampGet ready for five action-packed days of hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun at Roseville Fire Kids Camp 2026! Hosted by the Roseville Fire Department, Kids Camp gives participants an inside look at what it takes to serve the community as a firefighter. Camp runs Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a full week of engaging, high-energy activities led by our firefighters and staff. Applications close Wednesday, March 11.

Phillip Road Site update: Draft Environmental Impact Report and public hearingThe Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) for the proposed Phillip Road Site Project is available for a 45-day public review and comment period through Monday, March 23. What are environmental studies and why do they matter? Watch this brief video. As part of the environmental review process, the City of Roseville will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 12, to receive oral comments on the contents and adequacy of the Draft EIR.
