Denio Family Park dedication this Saturday
Celebrate Denio Family Park’s dedication this Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m. This beautiful 96-acre space features Roseville’s first disc golf course, off-leash dog parks, picnic areas and natural areas, offering something for everyone (including your pups).
Celebrate with us—and stick around after the ceremony for a short disc golf demo at the warm-up hole of the brand-new 18-hole course.
Honoring National Police Week
Roseville Police Department honors and recognizes the sacrifices police officers have made for others and their community. Every year, hundreds of police officers gather in Washington, D.C., to attend commemorative events and vigils to honor fellow officers.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Roseville Police Officer Mark White’s ultimate sacrifice when he was fatally shot on February 10, 1995 in the lobby of the previous Police Department headquarters.
This week, Chief Bergstrom and a few members of the Roseville PD will accompany Mike's family on a visit to Washington, D.C., where they will remember and recognize the sacrifices that Mike and other fellow police officers have made to protect and serve others.
Celebrating Public Works
Public Works plays a major role in shaping the city we live in by bringing projects to life, connecting us all through infrastructure and service. From roadways and transportation to maintaining our City’s vital floodplain infrastructure, they are what make our communities dynamic places to live.
Please join us in celebrating Public Works Week May 18-24 and recognizing the entire Public Works team.
The infrastructure you don’t see, but can’t live without
Imagine turning on the tap and nothing happens. The toilet won’t flush. Trash piles up. That’s life without infrastructure—the systems we rarely think about but rely on daily.
Behind it all? More than $1.5 billion in infrastructure, and the people who make it work. This National Infrastructure Week, we’re shining a light on the systems you count on and the crews who keep them going.
May is Water Awareness Month: Roseville's commitment to water supply reliability
As we observe Water Awareness Month, it's essential to reflect on the need to maintain water supply reliability through increased infrastructure, redundant water supplies, and reduction in water use overall, especially in regions facing growing challenges due to climate change.
The City of Roseville actively invests in projects, infrastructure, and programs to successfully manage its water resources. We have embarked on a multifaceted approach to secure our water future, leveraging innovative strategies and partnerships.
May is National Electrical Safety Month!
This month, help us raise awareness about electrical safety practices and ways to reduce electric-related accidents and injuries.
At Roseville Electric, safety is a core value that drives every aspect of our operations. Through daily practices, continuous training, and a culture of accountability, we work to ensure all employees perform their duties safely and confidently.
Here are a few simple electrical safety tips you can practice at home:
-
Don’t overwhelm your outlets – limit them to one heat-producing appliance and use smart plugs.
-
Always call before you dig - calling 811 before you start any digging projects can help ensure your safety and prevent potential repair expenses.
-
Keep your party balloons tightly tethered - metallic (mylar) balloons that accidentally float into power lines can cause power outages or worse.
