Fiscal responsibility with a focus on recovery frames City’s proposed FY2021-22 budget

The City of Roseville’s proposed $571 million Fiscal Year 2021-22 budget is available for public review.

With a focus on responsible recovery, the proposed FY2021-22 budget does not include any General Fund service level reductions, and only includes the most critical increases given the continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic.

Of an overall City budget of $571 million, only $176 million comprises the proposed FY2021-22 General Fund operating budget. The majority of the remaining $395 million in funding is dedicated toward electric, water, wastewater, and waste services utility operations.

Public budget hearings will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 1. The City Council will consider the final budget for adoption at its regular public meeting, 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 16.

Most Roseville City offices are closed May 31 in observance of Memorial Day

Refuse service follows its regular, daily pick-up schedule. The City remains staffed to provide safety and emergency services. Administrative offices and public counters are closed.

Downtown Passport Facility closed.

Maidu Community Center, Maidu Museum & Historic Site,
Utility Exploration Center and all libraries closed.
No Roseville Transit Commuter, Local, or ADA Paratransit services.
Dial-A-Ride operates 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Roseville water customers urged to voluntary conserve 10 percent to manage drought conditions

Given the Governor’s Executive Order declaring a statewide drought this week, Roseville encourages customers to reduce their water use voluntarily by 10 percent.

This will allow us to preserve storage in Folsom Lake, minimize water supply impacts as we approach the fall and winter months, and safeguard obligations Roseville and other water providers have made to protect the environment and the Lower American River.
