Grand Opening this Friday: Placer Valley Soccer ComplexJoin us this Friday, Nov. 21, from 6–8:30 p.m. for the Grand Opening of the Placer Valley Soccer Complex! The free celebration begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by youth clinics, sports demos, food trucks, and plenty of family fun. Explore all 10 lighted turf fields showcasing soccer, lacrosse, flag football, and more. Come experience a lively night of games, music, and excitement as we unveil Roseville’s newest sports destination. 
Work planned for Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve project to improve traffic Work on the Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve, between Lincoln and Yosemite Street, is expected to start this winter to improve traffic flow and safety. Project updates include adding lighted pedestrian crossings to enhance safety, reducing lanes to slow vehicle speeds, installing green bike lanes for better visibility, and constructing landscaped medians. In addition, left turns will be limited at smaller intersections to help reduce collisions. 
Green Gardener At Home returns this SpringGet ready to dig in for the popular Green Gardener at Home workshop series, which returns Feb. 12, 2026 through April 9, 2026. This class offers hands-on classes to help you create a beautiful, water-efficient landscape that thrives in California’s unique climate. The seven-week workshop focuses on watershed-wise gardening, covering soil health, efficient irrigation, climate-adapted plant selection, sustainable pruning, and pest management. Local landscape professionals guide each session, giving participants skills they can use immediately. 
Succulents for Soups is backDo you have extra canned goods or non-perishable items in your pantry? From Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Dec. 19, bring your non-perishable food items to the Utility Exploration Center or Utilities' Customer Care Center, and as a token of our appreciation, you’ll receive one complimentary succulent, provided by our partners at Green Acres Nursery and Supply. Drop-off locations: Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard Tuesday through Saturday, noon - 4 p.m. Utilities Customer Care Center, 116 S. Grant Street Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Apply for the Citizens’ Benefit Fund 2025 Grant applications open for the Citizens’ Benefit Fund on Monday, December 1. Those interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend the January 13 grant application workshop to learn more about the process and requirements. The deadline to submit a grant application for fiscal year 2026-27 is 5 p.m. Monday, February 2.

Temporary roadway repairs on Cirby Way starting November 17Crews will begin temporary roadway repairs on Cirby Way between Cirby Oaks Way and Inglis Way from November 17–19, 2025, weather permitting. This proactive work will help keep the road stable and in good condition following a past water main break. Please drive with caution and follow posted signs. Crews will set up early at 5 a.m. and work between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily to minimize impacts.
