
Thanksgiving holiday hoursMost Roseville City offices are closed Nov. 27 and 28 in observance of Thanksgiving. Refuse service follows its regular daily pick-up schedule. Celebrate the season at GrinchmasGet ready for a unique holiday experience with Grinchmas on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Maidu Community Center. Enjoy a festive day filled with Grinch-inspired crafts, tasty treats, and a special visit with Santa. Various time slots are available starting at 4 p.m. 
Toys for Tots donation locationsGive a child the gift of joy this holiday season by donating new, unwrapped toys for those in need during Toys for Tots. Donations are needed for kids of all ages and will be distributed by local nonprofit organizations to those in need. In order to have time to distribute the toys, we kindly ask for donations by Friday, Dec. 12, however, donations will be accepted through Christmas.

Work planned for Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve project to improve traffic Work on the Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve, between Lincoln and Yosemite Street, is expected to start this winter to improve traffic flow and safety. Project updates include adding lighted pedestrian crossings to enhance safety, reducing lanes to slow vehicle speeds, installing green bike lanes for better visibility, and constructing landscaped medians. In addition, left turns will be limited at smaller intersections to help reduce collisions. 
Applications are open for two CommissionsApplications are open for several commissions and committees, including the Local Citizens' Sales Tax and Oversight Committee and the Public Utilities Commission. Applications for any of these vacancies are due by Friday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. You can access applications online, by calling (916) 774-5267, or by visiting the City Clerk's Office (311 Vernon Street). 
Apply for the Citizens’ Benefit Fund 2025 Grant applications open for the Citizens’ Benefit Fund on Monday, December 1. Those interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend the January 13 grant application workshop to learn more about the process and requirements. The deadline to submit a grant application for fiscal year 2026-27 is 5 p.m. Monday, February 2.

From Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Dec. 19, bring your non-perishable food items to the Utility Exploration Center or Utilities' Customer Care Center, and as a token of our appreciation, you’ll receive one complimentary succulent, provided by our partners at Green Acres Nursery and Supply. Green Gardener At Home returns this SpringGet ready to dig in for the popular Green Gardener at Home workshop series, which returns Feb. 12, 2026 through April 9, 2026. This class offers hands-on classes to help you create a beautiful, water-efficient landscape that thrives in California’s unique climate. The seven-week workshop focuses on watershed-wise gardening, covering soil health, efficient irrigation, climate-adapted plant selection, sustainable pruning, and pest management. Local landscape professionals guide each session, giving participants skills they can use immediately.
