Recycling tips for the holiday season
As you enjoy twinkling lights, decked-out trees, gift exchanges, and festive gatherings, remember that recycling adds cheer and reduces waste. Visit our website for smart ways to keep our landfills light and bright.
Reminder: Even holidays don’t stop trash and recycling!
If your trash, recycling, or green waste collection day falls on a holiday, don’t worry—our trucks are still rolling. Here’s how to keep things on track:
-
Early bird gets the bin emptied! Make sure your containers are at the curb by 6 a.m. sharp. (No sleeping in, even for your trash!)
-
Containers need personal space, too. Place your green waste container next to your garbage container in the street, but keep at least 4 to 6 feet between them.
-
Clear the way: Ensure plenty of space around the containers so our crew can do their magic.
Want an extra nudge to keep you on top of your garbage day? Sign up for reminders! We’ll send you a handy notice so you never forget.
