c.1879 Historic Fiddyment Ranch Home, West Roseville
National Register of Historic Places, #10000503

From the Roseville Historical Society Preservation Committee...

MARCH 2016 PROPERTY UPDATE

  • Tenants have vacated the property.
  • City officials are reviewing the property status and are negotiating what repairs Signature Development will be responsible for before City takes over the property.
  • Extra security patrols have been ordered by City.

The purpose of this committee is to engage with the city and community in the following ways:

  1. To understand the maintenance schedule, its costs and any ramifications repairs would have on the historic property.

  2. To ensure that the site is protected as repairs are underway. There are two structures on the site currently in dangerous decay; the original 1879 smokehouse and cooler buildings. Both are brick structures with original mortar.

  3. To communicate to the community about the property and the potential it holds for its positive impact on Roseville and its history.

  4. To find and write grants and fundraise for preservation funding.

  5. To engage with the City of Roseville about the future use of the structure, i.e. to create a public place where the community can appreciate and learn about this incredible part of Roseville’s past.
