We have some exciting pool news to share! Construction at the Roseville Aquatics Complex (RAC) is at a point where we can open the recreational pool in addition to the competition pool!
Beginning Tuesday, June 14, both the competition pool and recreation pool will be open for new, extended recreational swim times and reservations are no longer needed. Also, Summer Swim Passes are now available and can be used at all three Roseville pools through Labor Day.
Have you attended BIG TRUCKS SUMMER, yet? The first two events kicked off in early June and were a huge success. Families were able to see our fleet of pipescope, vactor, and electric line trucks, watch live demonstrations, talk to and ask questions with utility workers, and take home some cool giveaways from Environmental Utilities and Roseville Electric!
If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend Big Trucks Summer yet, we still have two more scheduled this month at Maidu Regional Park from 9 – 11 a.m.:
Thursday, June 16 – Vactor and Dump Trucks
Thursday, June 23 – Garbage Trucks
Please note, the Utility Exploration Center is no longer the event location and will be closed from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on event days. Mark your calendars and visit roseville.ca.us/bigtrucks for more information.
To recognize waste professionals and their service to our community, June 17 is “Global Garbage Man Day.” Help us observe this day by thanking our incredible staff of garbage collectors and waste management team by using the hashtag #ThankYouGarbageMan on social media. Your garbage truck drivers will thank you.
Watch for road resurfacing around Roseville. Construction will continue through fall. Keep an eye on digital message boards for current dates and times for each work area. Hours vary and are scheduled to minimize disruption.
Stay alert and travel with care when you see crews at work.
Ride unlimited through August 31 on Roseville Transit, Placer County Transit and Auburn Transit bus routes with the $10 Summer Youth Bus Pass. Transit is a clean and affordable way to travel to summer jobs, the mall, and other popular destinations.
