Measure A: Council Compensation Adjustment and Inflation Limitation Measure

Roseville voters will consider Measure A in the Nov. 2026 election regarding City Council compensation. This ballot initiative is a proposed amendment to the City Charter that would change how City Councilmembers are compensated.

See how Roseville has evolved since the last adjustment to City Council compensation was made in 2000:

  • Population Growth: The city’s population has more than doubled.

  • Complex Budget: Roseville now operates with an annual budget approaching $1 billion, driven largely by the cost of running full-service municipal utilities and maintaining major infrastructure.

  • Dedicated Workforce: The City employs over 1,300 full-time professionals represented by six labor groups, plus a large number of part-time staff.

  • Expanded Responsibilities: Council responsibilities have expanded as the city has grown in size, complexity, and regional influence.
