Making history: Community joins Placer for time capsule ceremony

From an American flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol on the Fourth of July, America's 250th anniversay, to sealed letters from local cities, we’ve packed a little bit of today away for the generations of tomorrow. Last weekend’s time capsule celebration was a culmination of our 175th anniversary events, capturing a snapshot of Placer County in 2026. Now, our stories, milestones and community spirit are sealed away as a legacy for future generations to discover in 2101.
