Rapid Link transit service to connect Lincoln, Roseville, and light rail

A new way to travel around the region begins Thursday, Oct. 1, when Rapid Link launches express service connecting Lincoln, Roseville, and the regional light rail system.

Rapid Link offers a public transit route with limited stops along the Highway 65 and Interstate 80 corridors, giving commuters, students, seniors and other travelers a convenient new option.

Rides are free for a limited time.

Measure A: Council Compensation Adjustment and Inflation Limitation Measure

Roseville voters will be asked to vote on Measure A in the November 2026 election. This ballot initiative is a proposed amendment to the City Charter that would change how City Councilmembers are compensated.

Why is Measure A on the ballot?

The City Charter requires voter approval for any change to council compensation. The last adjustment to compensation occurred 26 years ago, when Roseville crossed the 75,000 population threshold and voters approved the current $600/month rate. That measure included no mechanism for future adjustments, so compensation has remained unchanged despite growth in the city’s size and responsibilities since 2000.

Make a difference on the Grants Advisory Commission

The Roseville City Council is accepting applications from citizens 18 and older residing within the city limits of Roseville interested in serving on the Grants Advisory Commission.

The commission meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m., and annually reviews all proposals and grant applications for the Citizens Benefit Fund.

Submit your application to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Serve your community as a Youth Commissioner

The Roseville City Council is accepting applications from high school students residing within the city limits of Roseville interested in serving as youth commissioners. Current youth vacancies include:

• Grants Advisory Commission (one vacancy)

• Parks, Recreation & Libraries Commission (one vacancy)

• Transportation Commission (one vacancy)

The commissions meet approximately once a month and serve as advisory bodies to the City Council. The term of office runs from Jan. 1, 2027 to Dec. 31, 2027.

Submit your application to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.
