Measure A: Council Compensation Adjustment and Inflation Limitation Measure

Roseville voters will be asked to vote on Measure A in the November 2026 election. This ballot initiative is a proposed amendment to the City Charter that would change how City Councilmembers are compensated.

What is Measure A?

Measure A would:

• Increase councilmember compensation from $600/month (set by voters in 2000) to $2,550/month (which is an amount set by State law for general law cities with the same population as Roseville).

• Add annual inflation adjustments based on the California Consumer Price Index (CPI), capped at no more than 5% per year.

• Maintain the City Charter requirement that any change to council compensation must be approved by voters.

• Councilmembers do not currently and would not receive any City paid for benefits like medical, dental, vision, etc.

Roseville Parkway Widening Project update

There will be overnight lane closures for a portion of southbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard, after the Roseville Parkway intersection. Due to high daytime traffic volumes, work is scheduled for these dates and times:

• 8 p.m., Sept. 23 - 6 a.m., Sept. 24

• 8 p.m., Sept. 24 - 6 a.m., Sept. 25

Please follow detour signs and travel with care through the work area. Consider alternative routes, if possible.

City approves sale of downtown site for future development

On Wednesday, Sept. 16, Roseville City Council adopted a resolution approving the sale of two parcels, 505 Royer Street and 300 Taylor Street, to the nonprofit Eden Housing.

This milestone strengthens Downtown Roseville as a vibrant center of economic activity and community life.

Make a difference on the Grants Advisory Commission

The Roseville City Council is accepting applications from citizens 18 and older residing within the city limits of Roseville interested in serving on the Grants Advisory Commission.

The commission meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m., and annually reviews all proposals and grant applications for the Citizens Benefit Fund.

Submit your application to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Serve your community as a Youth Commissioner

The Roseville City Council is accepting applications from high school students residing within the city limits of Roseville interested in serving as youth commissioners. Current youth vacancies include:

• Grants Advisory Commission (one vacancy)

• Parks, Recreation & Libraries Commission (one vacancy)

• Transportation Commission (one vacancy)

The commissions meet approximately once a month and serve as advisory bodies to the City Council. The term of office runs from Jan. 1, 2027 to Dec. 31, 2027.

Submit your application to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.

For one morning, we’re opening the gates at a Roseville groundwater well that is normally closed to the public. Join us Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at 4030 Solaire Drive for a free, family-friendly open house.

Explore the site, meet Roseville water professionals and learn how groundwater supports our water supply during dry conditions and how we can store water underground when surface supplies are plentiful. Kids activities and refreshments will be available.
