Crime Alert - from Roseville Police

    Residential Burglary, Firearms Taken

"To recap the police activity in the West Park/Fiddyment Farms area last night, at around 8:10 p.m. officers responded to a residential burglary in West Park, near Fiddyment Road and Village Green Drive. The home had been ransacked and firearms were taken. A short time later, an officer responded to a suspicious circumstances call, and checked on an unoccupied blue Ford sedan parked on Porch Swing Drive near Amberly Court (off Fiddyment Road almost 3 miles north of the burglary location, close to our northern city limits). The stolen firearms from the burglarized home were inside the car. Two adult men, described as either Hispanic or black, wearing dark colored hoodies and baggy pants, were seen running from the car. Roseville officers converged on the area to search for them with the help of CHP's helicopter. They searched extensively, in some areas yard-to-yard, but weren't able to find the suspects. We towed the car, which may have been stolen, and will continue the investigation today to try to identify and arrest the suspects. Any other residents in the area who had a burglary last night should not touch any disturbed areas, in case we can recover fingerprints or other evidence, and call us at 774-5000 extension 1 to file a report."
