Groundwater well

Groundwater program continues to expand in Roseville

Looking back, more than one month ago, we celebrated the opening of two new groundwater wells to ensure we have enough water when needed.

Our groundwater program uses a remarkable technology called Aquifer Storage and Recovery to make sure we always have enough water, especially when it's not raining a lot.

This helps us get the water we need, use less from the American River and Folsom Lake, positively impacts the environment, and helps with California's big plan for managing water.

Proposed electric rate increase on the horizon

Roseville Electric works hard as your community-owned utility to minimize costs and operate as efficiently as possible. However, these are challenging times for the electric utility industry, especially here in California. As a result, Roseville Electric is proposing a rate increase in each of the next two years.

We encourage you to attend one of our upcoming workshops to learn more and ask questions. Our next virtual workshop is Thursday, January 25 at 6 p.m.

Placer County Adopts Voter’s Choice Act Election Model

The Placer County Elections Office has recently adopted the California Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) election model to provide eligible voters with more choice and control over their vote.

Rather than assigned polling places, the VCA model employs regional vote centers that are open for four or 11 days, and available to all eligible Placer County voters for in-person voting.

Additionally, new legislation now permits voters to bring their vote-by-mail ballot to any vote center and use the ballot scanner to have it counted on site, ensuring it will be included in the preliminary results released on Election Night.
